THE WOMAN

Darilyn is currently starring as Peggy Schuyler/ Maria Reynolds in the Philipp Company of Hamilton: An American Musical. Prior to this, she starred alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda playing the unforgettable role of Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds in the And Peggy Company in Puerto Rico and San Francisco, which raised nearly $15 million dollars for Puerto Rico to help rebuild arts on the island after Hurricane Maria. Prior to Hamilton, Darilyn was the first woman of color to play Tracey in the production of "Burt and Me" at The Meadow Brook Theatre. She has been a part of many other stage productions such as The Lion King, Pretty Woman (Lab Workshop), Cirque Dreams, and has graced The Apollo Theatre stage winning second runner up in the famous "Showtime at The Apollo". She received outstanding reviews from The New York Times, The New York Post, and Backstage for her performance in the New Harlem Arts Theater's musical revue, "Ain't Nothin But The Blues."

 

Darilyn is a songwriter and released her EP in 2019 entitled "Constellation," produced by award-winning, multi-platinum, two time Grammy nominated producer Heavy Mellow; available now on all platforms. She went on to release her first music video, "Still Calling", which is available on YouTube. Currently she is preparing to release her first Spanish single in 2021.

 

  Darilyn's talent does not end with just artistry; she is multifaceted. Currently, she is studying for her Masters in International Criminal Justice at The John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She hopes to work in human trafficking and helping those in need. Darilyn is extremely passionate about making a change in the entertainment industry for women and expanding diversity for PoC in the arts.
